Today's subject was an incredibly easy one for me, but to not make this a one sentence paragraph I decided to give a little background on why. Today's topic: Favorite Childhood TV show.
I dunno why but I was never much of a Sesame Street kind of guy. I mean it wasn't anything against talking puppets, I mean jeez I loved Fraggle Rock, but still I just really wasn't into it as a kid. And Barney...well I loved Barney but after about the age of three or four I realized that he was pretty lame and that he was talking down to me. But there was one TV show that I watched religiously, not only that but I bought all the VHS's (which I still have) and I saw all the movies in theaters. Heck I even bought the video games. Either way to this day I still love the show and that is "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh."
For some reason this show always made me feel good. The happy characters, the lessons on friendship, the adventures they had, the real life situations from the mind of a child...it was all something quite amazing. And to this day Pooh always makes me feel happy and as pretty much an adult it still makes me laugh and I still learn some things every now and again. And yes I still play the games. But definitely my favorite childhood show.
I have the theme song on my ipod, and when I wake up from a nightmare or can't sleep because I'm scared (usually after watching Dexter) I'll play it and feel better. I play Pooh Stix when I get to a new place too.
